Belous
Gizzard Jungle
The heart of Belous. Most tyto make their home here, with the jungle being the most densely wooded area of the main island. The Chyme River winds through the trees, delivering water to the deepest reaches.
Crop Grasslands
One of the most food-rich areas of Belous. Each year the monsoon season ushers in flooding that brings back vegetation and food sources. The dry season leaves it prone to fires, so tyto living here stay near the river or the border.
Chyme River
The Chyme river is the largest river in Belous, cutting through the Crop Grasslands and into the Gizzard Jungle. It carries fish and silt to the farthest reaches of the island, giving it its name.
Pharynx Mountains
One of the more precarious areas of the island. Ash has collected on the northwestern side from the oceanic volcanoes. Tyto will dust-bathe here, making it neutral, social territory.
Feather Rainforest
With the trees being less dense, tyto are more spread out in these areas. Seabirds live on the outer edges.
Throat of Gourgouthakas
The entrance to a system of caves running throughout the island, located in the Gizzard Jungle. Most tyto stay away from this area, due to the inherent danger of falling in. A neck of the Chyme River winds into it, creating a pounding waterfall.
